Products made to conquer any trail
These mounts are great. I just bolted two of them to the front of my pick up truck bed top rail for our bikes (12x100). Simple and clean installation. Still have full use of my entire truck bed and the mounts are out of the way if I dont have bikes mounted. They hold the bikes firmly in place even over rough roads. Just have to tie down the rear wheels a little bit so they don't jump around.
I've been using this product for a few years now and have 0 complaints. Or at least I HAD zero complaints. I keep all the axles for my 2 abreast setup in the center console, so in the back of my mind I thought I would be able to accommodate any bike. A Boxxer World Cup just entered my life and I'm realizing this mount only covers 90% of all axles out there. To think that the designers were not able to squeeze in that extra few millimeters to accommodate ALL axles. What can I say? I'm bummed!
I finally got a new bike with a Fox 36 up front. My old fork mount only worked with QR. I picked this up and replaced my old and and it works great. It already had the Boost (15x110 axle) installed in the mount. I bolted into my pick up bed and it hold the bike really securely. I have two extra axles in case i have to carry the other thru axle sizes. Would recommend this product for sure.

The HotRod works as one would hope but it would be really nice if the inner sleeve could be coated to allow for easier axle insertion and removal. My HotRods are mounted on the floor of my truck bed so that my bikes are not sticking up in the wind (no bugs!) but I have to lean over and reach far to get the axle in and out. Lining everything up can be a hassle sometimes.
