Well made and the hard rubber liner will create enough friction to prevent a thief simply unbolting the axle to defeat the lock. I wish RockyMounts still made the locking thru-axle adapter for my RM roof racks (the predecessor to the SwitchHitter). The DropTop locking thru-axle fork rack is essentially the same thing, but if I wanted to use it would have to devise some sort of bolt-on arrangement. Not ideal.
