BrassKnuckles!’

This product is so easy and convenient to load a bike on that I recently bought a second. The process could not have been easier to buy another. The crew at RockyMounts recognized that I already have one that I bought years ago and set up the new bike rack perfectly so that I can install on the other side of my car! Nice attention to detail! The product is awesome, the company is awesome… enjoy the ride!

Excellent

I bought 4 of these to mount on my pickup truck's Access Adarac. These have worked great for any size bike I've put up there. My youngest's 20" wheeled mountain bike, my full sus, and with couple fattie kits, some well-fed bikes all fit great. The entire system seems very durable and should last many years. 100% recommend them.

ALMOST perfect

I love this rack! I like it more than hitch racks, because it is essentially a tray rack but just moved to the roof. My ONLY qualm is that the articulating arm that ratchets down on the front tire is very stiff. It sucks when I'm on my step ladder, holding the bike up with one hand, my other arm outstretched trying to lift the articulating arm which is very stiff and I have no leverage, nearly giving myself a hernia. I'm hoping that as I use it more it will become less stiff, and I'm hoping some WD-40 will help, but holy hell does it really need to be that stiff? I know that it is not just a random defect because I bought two and they both have stiff articulating arms. If I could, I would give this rack 4.5 stars due to the user-friendliness, but if you are good at lifting heavy things with your arm outstretched then it's not a big deal. With all that said, if you're considering buying this rack, then totally do it. It is truly a great investment.

Great product design/quality, and great customer-support team!

BrassKnuckles rack is rock-solid! The tried-and-true load arm design is super secure and confidence-aspiring through rough roads (no rattling/creaking, no wiggle/play), along with an equally solid tray (not flexy/flimsy). The mounting straps easily/securely anchor the head/base unit onto my round crossbar perfectly. I used to always look up thru sunroof worryingly with my previous big-brand 'roll-it-forward' loading rack on bumpy roads, but not any more with BrassKnuckles rack! Loading/unloading can't be easier, and it's completely flat when not in use - love it!
Assembly/installation was very quick/easy out of box. Online ordering was simple, and processing/shipping was super-fast.
To top off the great products, the customer-support folks at RockyMounts are absolutely above-and-beyond helpful/supportive (top notch across any industries). Another customer-for-life here - thanks, guys!

Great product design/quality and great customer support!

BrassKnuckles bike rack is solid! The tried-and-true load arm design is secure and confident-aspiring even through rough roads (no rattling/creaking/play), along with a tray that's also solid (not flexy/flimsy). Easy assembly/installation out of box. Great design & quality end-to-end. I no longer feel the need to look up thru my sunroof to check while on rough roads (which I often did with my previous roll-forward loading front-wheel grabbing bike rack that swayed a lot) - total confidence with BrassKnuckles. Online ordering was quick/easy, order processing & shipping was super fast. Better than anything else!

I bought this rack to accommodate a new fat tire bike. I could not find a way to accommodate the bike on a roof without taking the very large skewer off and purchasing a very rare skewer mount. Rockymount's BrassKnuckles solves the job for the fat tire and is now my go-to rack position. It firmly locks the bike in quick and easily. Doesn't move about under wind loading even at +highway speeds+. It mounted cleanly to the roof bars of my aero rack but feel it would be just as home on an old round-bar rack system. Can't recommend it enough. -RJ

Amazing Bike Rack!!!

By far the best roof mount bike rack I have ever owned. There is nothing better than being able to leave both wheels on your bike on the roof of your vehicle and know it’s going to be 100% secure. I would highly recommend this rack system to anybody.

Works great with all my bikes

I have a fat bike, 27.5+, 29er, vintage 26”, and a skinny racing road bike. I have the fat adaptor cage and this works great with all of them. No more taking on/off wheels. Super quick to clip in once I’m at the trailhead. I had one minor issue with one of them (older version which they’ve changed) and they were super fast to fix it at no cost to me. Highly recommend.

MUST BUY FOR ON TOP RACKS

Excellent product! Usto have fork mounted roof mounts and this is far superior. ease of use is incredible as well as stability. also yesterday on a hot day it was extremely easy to take off cover and tighten the straps, other mounts are typically way more difficult to adjust and mess with. a friend got two as well. great buy!

WONT FIND A BETTER ROOF TOP RACK ON THE MARKET

I have had two of these racks on my my truck for years and have abused them! These things have a brilliant mounting mechanism that speeds install/uninstall, and work well in a multitude of rack/bike setups, yet they are BOMBPROOF! I've taken these racks down tons of washed out roads and off road trails with and without bikes on them and have never had a single problem.

Worth every penny

I bought two of these Brass Knuckles bike carriers and added the fattie adapters. Carried two fatties on top of my Jeep Cherokee for 5 hours this weekend without issue. I added the locks which are a must. Hats off to this carrier.

So much easier!

I bought this last season with the hopes that it would make getting to the trails simpler than the fork mount tray I’ve had for years. Wow! What a difference. Super easy to get the bike on and off. Easy to lock. Great customer service. Outside of investing in a hitch mount system, it couldn’t get any easier. I love the fact that parts are available to purchase and replace if the wear out or break thru use.

Best roof rack I've ever owned

What I love about this rack.
1. Just about everything
2. Super sturdy
3. Nice looking
4. As aerodynamic as a bike rack can be
5. Fits my 2.8 tires with ease and could accommodate much larger like 3.0
6. Holds my bike on with such positive, solid, scratch free, no worries, almost bombproof ease.
7. Makes my cross bars more solid with the racks beefy construction.
I have owned many racks in my 40+ years of riding. This is a next level rack. It outperforms and accommodates
so many bikes. Compared to my Thule T2 Classic hitch rack this rack has it beat hands down in every respect
I found no faults so far with this rack.

Awesome rack

Great experience. Easy to install and use. Best bike rack I have used. Thank you.

Not bad

I like the rack, I just purchased my second one. Reason I'm not impressed, is the second rack does not have the clips for the ratchet strap to attach to. Now when loading or attempting to unload the straps get stuck in your spokes. A couple times its almost broke.

S
S B.
Great Solid Rack!

Holds everything from a 29er Enduro to a skinny light carbon bikes. Fenders, fat tires or whatevs, it perfectly adjustable. Super simple to mount on my Thule bars and it could fit really on any crossbar. Literally two screws to turn to install. Also, the grabber is swappable left or right. An affordable easy to use investment for any bike.

Brass knuckles beats the rest

This is my second brass knuckles. It’s awesome to have wheels on roof racks. A word to the wise, it’s good for tall folks. You must be able to lift your bike overhead to load it onto the roof. The rack is solid. It’s awesome that it is so versatile. Love the clever locking mechanism. Best roof rack I know about. And it turns all my friends heads. They all laugh and say “it’s like brass knuckles” and I say “it is brass knuckles”

Love it

I love this rack. The frame is very heavy duty and I love how easy the load hook is to use. This rack fit perfectly on my Golf Sportwagen and the red looks sweet too!

Brass Knuckles

Meh...This is the spendiest bike rack of the RM lineup, and it's not the best. It's big, heavy and clunky, taking up a huge amount of roof space when folded flat. In fact, it was too large for my station wagon, and we installed it on my wife's huge truck. What I'm least pleased with is that the plastic cover that covers the hardware pops off every time I use the rack. As one pulls the wheel guide from storage position to the wheel guide position, the plastic cover pops off every time because of poor design or poor manfacturing tolerances. I love RM racks, but I'd avoid this one.
