The MonoRail is the most versatile rack in the RockyMounts line up. It has the capacity for all styles of bikes; from skinny tire road machines, up to heavy fat tire E-bikes, this rack has you covered.
- Carries 2 bikes ONLY, up to 60 lbs per tray (120 lbs total). 1.25" variant is NOT compatible with Add-On
- No contact with frame, secures bicycle by front wheel
- Carries road tires up to 5.0” fat bike tires, and diameters from 20” to 29”
- Compatible with bicycle wheelbases from 36” to 50”
- Folds flat against the vehicle and tilts down 30 degrees to allow for hatch access
- Includes anti-wobble hitch pin
- If you want to fit both 1.25" and 2" size hitches, get the 1.25" and our adaptor sleeve. This configuration does not allow for the use of an Add-On
- Includes locking hitch bolt, cable lock, and standard lock pods, keyed alike
- Note: Cable lock is not intended to be used while driving. Road vibrations can cause unintended wear on frames, rims, and the rack itself. Please remove cable lock when vehicle is in motion
- Not for use with fender equipped bicycles, or on Class I hitch receivers
- Rack weight 39 lbs (shipping weight 51 lbs)
- Fit Memo- For cargo vans a fit check is required. Depending on hitch manufacturer, handlebar width, vehicle wheelbase, and accessories an 8" Hitch Extension may be required for handlebars to clear the door
- Hitch extension will be required for the following vehicles: Santa Fe, Sorento, Rav 4, Compass, Alfa Romeo's, 2nd Gen Forester (and typically other gens). Their exhaust outlet will burn racks when in the folded position without hitch extension or exhaust diverter.

A great value
After nearly seven years using an inexpensive hitch rack it was time for a better model. After much research I decided on this monorail hitch rack. I've used it twice now and it is a very sturdy, effective, well designed rack at a fraction of the price of the well known brands. An included lock is an option for other racks but not this one. Highly recommend.

Excellent rack! Very pleased.
I did a lot of research before pulling the trigger on the Monorail. Thule, Yakima, Kuat, Rhino rack etc. all want $500+ for racks that appear to be of worse design and use cheaper materials. The Monorail securely holds both of my 27.5” mountain bikes with 2.65” wide tires. I have no doubt it will hold other wheel sizes and narrower or wider tires sizes too. There is no rubbing between bikes or the mounts. It’s quiet and there is no excessive play in the hitch. Oh and a 25% military discount. Wow! I am a very happy customer. Rocky Mounts seems to go above and beyond in everything they do.

BEST HITCH RACK EVER!
It’s review after more than 10 thousand miles. It came with one wheel tray broken but it wasn’t problem for customer service and in a week we received the new one. These guys taking their business seriously and it was pleasure to communicate with them. We traveled with this rack from CO to FL and back and to CA and back plus everyday in CO. Had been on rough dirty roads with a lot of dust etc. And never had a single issue. It’s stable and easy to operate. We even traveled with loaded rack in half way down position (forgot to lift it back) without damaging the kickbike scooters or rack. I highly recommend this company and this product! RockyMounts you’re the best!

Monorail is dialed
I have done tons of research and the monorail 2 is what I ended up with. Very strong rack and very well built! Easy to assemble and includes tools and hardware. All my friends with Kuat racks are jealous! Best bang for buck bike rack money can buy guaranteed! Keep it up Rockymounts!

Top notch piece of gear
Just what I've been looking for and I like the option of using as a single or double rack. Bikes fit well and solid for travel. Easy on easy off. The price was reasonable and I appreciate the military service discount. Great product and a U.S. company.

Best hitch rack I've owned!
Have owned the Thule T2 and glad I made the switch to the MonoRail hitch rack. Super easy to install, and it's been rock solid since day one. Recently road tripped with two bikes on it from Portland, OR to Santa Fe, NM and the rack was bomber...no swaying or bouncing, and no scratches on the bikes. Loading and unloading bikes was super easy, and the (essentially) one-handed folding and tipping made for convenient access to the back of our car. Would highly recommend.
